The Lakers were looking to extend their four game winning streak tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks but instead the Bucks snapped the streak and made their own four game winning streak.
The Lakers started the game strong by taking a 24-17 first quarter lead and then were still leading 8-075 after three but the 4th quarter was a whole different story. With about 8 minutes left to play in the game the Lakers were still ahead 83-82 and then things just didn't go right.
Lamar Odom had only one person to blame for the loss. He blamed Lamar Odom! He missed 8 of 11 shots in the game and had only 8 points in the game while playing 40 minutes. "That's why we lost," said Odom, who had four assists and four turnovers. "It's the truth. Write that. I'm going to say it was one of the worst games I've played. It'll be hard to sleep. I played like trash. Anything else?"
Kobe Bryant had 28 points in the game and was just about evened out by Redd of Milwaukee who had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assist. Much credit was given to Redd for his defense on Kobe in the 4th quarter.
Andrew Bynum had another good game with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
This was a sad loss for the Lakers who had control of the game for most of the game until the 4th. It would have been great for them to carry a nice winning streak into Boston on Friday. Boston is 9-1 so far this season and have been the talk of the NBA with their big 3 all averaging over 20 points per game.
