The Lakers took out the Bulls yesterday beating the Chicago Bulls 103-91. The Lakers have won 6 of their last 7 games (the one they lost they barely lost) and are a great 15-9 this season, the 4th best record in the west. Now, who would have thought.
Phil Jackson returned to the town were he has so much memories and Kobe Bryant was in the town that he thought he wanted to make some memories at. Instead Kobe seems very happy were he is at and seems happy to have stayed a Laker and so are us Laker fans. Kobe seems like he's having fun, that's what winning will do.
After Jordan Farmar's three-point shot put the Lakers ahead, 95-83, Bryant met him at halfcourt, bent low and emphatically slapped his hand as the teams went to their benches for a timeout with 4:25 to play.
Bryant then stole the ball from Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich, flipped an under-handed pass downcourt to Odom for a dunk and appeared to smile briefly as he pivoted crisply back toward the Bulls' basket.
There was some cheers for Kobe in Chicago as many Bull fans were hoping that Kobe would be a Bull when all the trade rumors were going on. In earlier games this season they even chanted Kobe's name when the Lakers were not even visiting.
All Laker starters scored in double figures. Bryant had 18, Odom had 17, Bynum had 12, Walton had 12 and Fisher had 10. One guy off the bench scored in double figures and led the Lakers in scoring with 19, that was Sasha Vujacic.
The three games remaining on the trip all are against teams with losing records -- Cleveland (11-14), Philadelphia (10-14) and New York (7-17). So the Lakers can easily go home a 18-9 team. Now woudn't that be great. When your wins double your losses, you know your doing good.
