Lakers 103 - Wizards 91

The Lakers did not need new Laker Paul Gasol tonight to beat the Washington Wizards. Particularly Kobe Bryant who came out on fire scoring 19 of his 30 points in the first quarter. Kobe actually outscored the whole Wizards team in the first quarter as the Lakers led after one 30-15. Bryant had 25 points at the half and helped the Lakers to a comfortable 63-41 lead. The Wizards tried putting different defenders on Bryant but nothing worked for them. Guess that's why he is starting again in this years All-Star game, his 10th All-Star game which will be coached this year by former Laker Byron Scott. Speaking of All-Stars, Washington has two of them this year, Jamison scored 21 points and Butler had 15 points. The final score in the game was the Lakers 103 and the Wizards 91. Paul Gasol suited up for the game but did not play as Phil Jackson wants him to get more practice first.
