Another one bites the dust, this time it was the Seattle Supersonics as the Lakers clobbered them 130-105. The Sonics are one of the worst teams in the league, you can say that this might have been a little break for the lakers who just came off a 4 game road trip against 4 of the top teams in the West. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points in the game but he was only one of many Lakers to score in double digits in the game. Luke Walton had 17, Turiaf had 14, Farmar 14, Radmonovic 13, Odom 13, Vujacic 13 and Derek Fisher had 11. If you can believe this Luke Walton scored all of his 17 points in the fourth quarter! Of course that was because lots of Lakers were sitting out the fourth quarter but still, to score 17 in a quarter is still great. The game was already broken open by the time the fourth quarter started as the Lakers held a commanding 94-76 lead.
Just think about how good the Lakers have been playing and to think that they have been doing it without two of their key players! Like Turiaf said "We are just sharing the ball, making sure everybody touches it and putting guys in positions where they can be successful, It's so much easier for us to score on other teams because they can't just focus on Kobe or Lamar". You go Ronny! Wasn't it just yesterday that you were the leading cheerleader on the Lakers bench! Now, a key role player off the Lakers bench. We are deep!
The Sonics were led in the game by Kevin Durant and Earl Watson who each had 20 points in the game.
