Byron Scott named 2007-2008 coach of the year

OK, I'm not a New Orleans fan at all. Most of the time I even forget the teams nickname, the Hornets isn't it. My brain still thinks that the Hornets still belong to Charlotte but Charlotte has the Bobcats now. OK, whatever but New Orleans coach Byron Scott was named 'Coach of the Year' before his team advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs by eliminating the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Congratulations to Byron Scott who us Laker fans enjoyed for many years here in L.A. Byron Scott was the running mate of Magic Johnson throughout the showtime era. Scott to me, was kind of under appreciated, I know Laker fans loved him but I think he should have gotten a little more love. I guess that's what can happen though when you play with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and James Worthy. Just ask Jerry Stackhouse who recently criticized Byron Scott on a radio show by saying that he (Jerry Stackhouse) would have championship rings too (like Byron Scott) if he had played with Magic, Kareem and Worthy. When asked about it Michael Cooper said Byron Scott has 3 rings, he (Cooper) has 5 and Stackhouse has how many? End of story.
