Trailblazers 112 - Lakers 103

Wow! The Lakers sure know how to make things tough on themselves. This game against Portland is one that they should have won. Yes, they lost it 112-103 and Portland was the better team but I mean - the Lakers just can't afford to lose against teams like this! Especially if they want any hope in catching New Orleans for the number one spot in the West. They're now 1 1/2 games behind NO and 1/2 game behind San Antonio. With only 4 more games remaining, two of them are against these two teams, New Orleans on Friday and San Antonio on Sunday. Of course beating those teams would really help in getting the #1 seed but it seems like they are just making it to damn hard on themselves. They should not have lost to Portland yesterday or Memphis or Charlotte recently. You win these three games that you should have won and you are 1 1/2 games up on New Orleans right now. I know, I sound frustrated with the Lakers losing this one but do you blame me. If they would have lost the Dallas game I could accept it but not these teams! See you Thursday 'Clippers' - Yes - This is a game we should win!

Kobe led the Lakers in the game, (though the Lakers trailed basically through the whole thing) with 34 points, Pau Gasol had 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Brandon Roy, who has become a star in his own right up North had a good game for Portland as he scored 23 points and had 12 assist.
