Here we go again! Kobe Vs. Shaq! Wait a minute, I mean, the Lakers Vs. the Suns. Seems what most wanted to talk about was the Kobe Vs. Shaq rivalry but it was the Lakers role players that gave the Lakers the victory as they have the best record in the NBA (9-1) after the 105-92 win over Phoenix.
Kobe had 24 points though he didn't have a great shooting night (8-23). Of course Raja Bell will probably give himself credit for that. Raja Bell is probably the most overrated defender in the NBA! Kobe played only 33 minutes in the game and rested almost the entire fourth quarter. That was in part because the rest of the Lakers were playing so well.
Radmanovic scored 15 points by making all five of his three point attempts. Pau Gasol played a solid game even though he only scored 4 points, Pau did have 9 rebounds and 9 assist.
So how did Andrew Bynum do against our former dominating center. Bynum had 10 points shooting 5-8 and grabbed 7 rebounds. Off of the bench Odom led the way with 13 points, Farmar had 11 points and Ariza had 10. This was a great over all game by the whole Lakers team and if they play like this every night with a full team effort instead of depending on Kobe then I smell a NBA title.
"I was telling Luke (Walton) about 10 minutes ago that this might be the first season I average 31 minutes because we've been blowing people out," Bryant said. "I've been sitting the whole fourth quarter. That's pretty amazing."
Shaq had 15 points and 9 rebounds for the Suns. A decent game for him these days. The Lakers continually double teamed him during the game but Shaq still shot decent going 6-12.
Stoudemire led the Suns with 21 points. Nash had only 8 points with 10 assist.
