Lakers beat Milwaukee Bucks 105-92

Another easy win for the Lakers came this evening as they beat the Bucks 105-92. The Lakers jumped out to a quick first quarter lead 26-18 as Milwaukee missed it's first 7 field goal attempts of the game. They were up 43-31 at the half and then really got things going their way when they opened the third with a 16-4 run putting themselves ahead 59-35 with just over 8 minutes to go in the third. The reigning MVP, who shot 6-for-13, sat out the final 4 minutes of the third quarter after getting treated for a cut just above his left wrist. Bryant started the fourth and was removed with 7:41 to play and Los Angeles up by 19. After Bryant went to the bench for good, the Bucks went on a 15-4 run that sliced a 23-point deficit to 95-83 with 2:47 left but by then it was too late.

The Lakers committed 25 turnovers in the game. Lucky for them they had their defense in tact tonight. Also, thank goodness is was the Bucks, who did not capitalize on it.

"It was an awkward game tonight," coach Phil Jackson said. "Offensively we were very ragged. Our timing was off and we tried to do too much. A lot of guys tried to do things that we shouldn't have been doing and forced the action. We didn't settle in and run our offense. We tried to do too many things off the dribble. They packed it in and caused turnovers, and that was one of the reasons I was unhappy about our offense."

All Laker starters scored in double figures. Bryant led the way with 20 points, Fisher had 19, Bynum had 14 points and 14 rebounds, Gasol had 12 and Radmanovic had 11.

For the Bucks it was the complete opposite. No Bucks starter scored in double figures but five bench players scored in double figures led by Alexander's 15 points.

The Lakers are now 17-2 tying the franchise record for the best start ever after 19 games.
