Grizzlies 114 - Lakers 111

Oh my goodness! The Lakers are really starting to hurt us Laker fans feelings. First the loss to the Bobcats and now a loss to the Grizzlies, it must be the wild animal curse. The Memphis Grizzlies came into the Staples Center with a 5-30 road record, good for the worst in the NBA but some how came into Staples and kicked the Lakers you know what.

Kobe Bryant had a phenomenal game by scoring 53 points in the game but that was the only thing the Lakers were able to brag about. Memphis got to brag about the win. Pau Gasol didn't get the chance to play against the team that he spent so many years with. Lamar Odom had a terrible shooting night by going 1-7 from the field and scoring only 2 points though he did get 11 rebounds and 11 assist. The Lakers definitely need points from Odom with Gasol and Bynum out.

Despite all their problems, lack of defense the main problem, the Lakers still had a chance to win this game toward the end. They were only down by a couple points in the final minutes of the game but could not get over the hump. Honestly though, this game shouldn't have been this close for the Lakers to even have a chance to lose. C'mon this is the Lakers and they are the Grizzlies. Oh well, now we are 1 game behind New Orleans and San Antonio who are tied for first place inn the West. I'm disappointed but have no fear Laker fans, they'll be back onn track soon, we are still going to win the West.
